We spend countless hours researching and finding herd sires that will compliment and enhance our herd. We also select some of the leading A.I. sires in the business.
The bulls in the pasture and in the tank must be thick, have excellent conformation, be homozygous polled and docile. We use many A.I. sires that are matched to specific females to compliment their traits and E.P.D.’s.

Other AI Sires and Genetic Opportunities
At Amaglen Limousin, we run an extensive Artificial Insemination program. We have produced over 500 AI calves over the years. We are currently using several top breed-leading AI sires. We also have semen of several older proven sires that we continue to use. Our tank is full of a wide variety of sires that have been carefully researched and selected.
Over the years, we have also identified superior cows and flushed embryos from the best. We have mated these cows with carefully selected AI sires. We have several AI sires available for in-herd use only, helping to add to the diversity of our program. We have also purchased and transplanted embryos from some of the top genetics available in the country.
